Seachicken from Lisa Smith
Thanks for visiting my site and I hope you enjoy looking at some of my creations.
A little bit about me, I am based in Cheshire but originally from Pembrokeshire in Wild West Wales, that's probably where the strong influence of nature comes into my work. I completed my degree in 1999 in design, specialising in metalwork. After my formal education I went on to run my own contemporary jewellery business based in Frodsham, Cheshire. It was great fun to meet clients who would come to me with ideas of the unique jewellery they wanted making, working with them to make their ideas a reality.
It may seem like a bit of a leap - from jewellery to painting, but I love it. I like using watercolour, acrylic and oil, but especially watercolour. Watercolour is particularly appealing as it is highly unpredictable and hard to control, sometimes I create a work of art... sometimes it's bin fodder!
On this website you will find a collection of my paintings, some commissions, and a selection of my silver and gemstone jewellery. Please get in touch if you have a question or just want to find out a little more, enjoy and I hope you leave the site feeling inspired.
